The Primary School Science Fair 26 July 2022

Ivory International schools realize that the world has gone science and for any country to develop, science must prevail.  Science is everywhere in everything. You reading this article, it’s been delivered by science.

The Primary Science Fair was conducted on 26th July 2022. Our pupils in primary section exhibited practically what they learn in classes specifically in science lessons. This is what we mean when we say Ivory International Schools are beyond just-theory – we are practical. Theoretical learning is what the knowledge is about and the practical application is how the knowledge learned can be implemented in real life situations. Practical work can help structure a lesson and improve engagement and knowledge retention. Many pupils learn more easily by actually doing activities. Learners also gain confidence and develop self-esteem by explaining what they are doing. Social skills like effective communication and sharing are developed.

All learners from Year 1 to Year 7 were involved and at least everyone had a part to play.

systems of ruminants and non-ruminants, separation of mixtures (filtration, decantation and using magnets), pulleys, measurements of weight and volumes, miscible and immiscible liquids, human body organ systems, electronic circuits, magnetism, soil and its properties, air and its properties, gardening and garden tools, rain formation, and a lot more.

Parents turned up in big numbers and they really liked and enjoyed the fair. At Ivory International Schools we are practical because we know that children learn better when they touch and feel, and parents witnessed this.
